Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Building Trades endorsed Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity's campaign for re-election.
"Stacy Garrity is the real deal," said Ryan N Boyer, Business Manager of the Philadelphia Building Trades. "She's out in our communities, not hiding behind a desk, but traveling to every county in Pennsylvania every year, listening to the people, and fighting for their needs. She has been on the ground here in Philadelphia and has seen firsthand the work we do to train the next generation of skilled workers through our apprenticeship programs. That's what we need—a friend who is in the trenches with us, and who knows what it takes to build a strong workforce. Stacy's got our backs, and we've got hers."
Treasurer Garrity's commitment to the Philadelphia Building Trades is evident not only in her conversations but also in her actions. One notable example of Stacy's commitment to Pennsylvania workers is her office's work to secure a $25 million investment in the Ullico Infrastructure Fund. This fund is set to invest at least $50 million into Pennsylvania over the next four years, creating good-paying union jobs and strengthening communities throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond. Treasurer Garrity also serves on the public teachers’ and state employees’ pension boards, where she has been a fierce advocate for the hardworking men and women who keep our schools and government running day in and day out.
"I am honored to be endorsed by the Philadelphia Building Trades," said Treasurer Garrity. "Together, we are creating jobs, investing much-needed dollars in our Commonwealth's infrastructure, and ensuring that our workforce is prepared for any and all challenges that Pennsylvania faces in the future."
